Quick Sunday wrap-up. Yesterday, my foster brother called me to offer me an apartment in the Bronx at a lower rent than I am paying now. I told him that I would have to think about it. My rent is higher now, but I like living near the water. Also, my commute is easy in the morning.

Later, Yesterday afternoon, my foster brother called again to ask if I wanted to go visit his grandmother's grave. Since I had no plans, I said okay. The original plan of meeting on 125th street was changed. I arrived at about 8am, but my foster brother kept me waiting for almost an hour. We rode out the New Jersey. We visited graves, then I was treated to a lunch at Red Lobster. I don't go out much, so it nice to go to a fancy restaurant. It was nice going to a restaurant where I was not asked, "do you want fries with that?"

After returning to NYC, I rode the MN train back to Yonkers. In downtown Yonkers, I was planning to only buy a replacement for the scarf that I misplaced. I ended up going to the imitation 5 and Dime Store. I ended up buying a couple of denim shirts, long underwear, gloves, etc... I then went shopping for a few items at the grocery store. The online store was out of orange juice. After shopping, I walked home, then I did my laundry.

Another bust of a weekend. It has taken me a while to figure out, I am a bit slow. My exhaustion on the weekend probably comes from the irregular sleep patterns I've develop over the workweek. Starting tomorrow, I will have to maintain a regular sleep pattern, so that I am not exhausted and sleep away my Saturdays.

Today, I managed to finish two-thirds of my lessons for next week. I started the day shaving my head, then taking a bath. I also did my laundry. I made a quick trip to visit my father's place. I stopped at the Pathmark on 125th street for milk (fat-free), wheat bread, and orange juice. I also bought a couple of Healthy Choice meals. I took the 7:30 train to Yonkers. Round trip, the cost was $11.50. For dinner, I had a Healthy Choice meal. I also needed to make a turkey sandwich to fill me up.

My next doctor's appointment is December 26th at 10am. My goal is to attend the gym at least 5 or 6 days per week (starting tomorrow). Not eating anything after working out at the gym except a little (healthy I hope) snack and green tea. I am going to bring some instant oatmeal and Healthy Choice meals to school. The oatmeal will be my 3pm snack. I am going to try for a 5 or 6pm dinner time. If I am not able to get dinner at home, then I will eat a Healthy Choice meal at school as dinner before I leave the building. I was thinking about bringing my gym bag to school to save time traveling home (and possible avoiding excuses for not going to the gym), but at the moment, I think it would be too much of a hassle.

Well, I think that's it for now.

I am sitting here procrastinating. Lesson plans for the next two weeks half done. I wonder if it is better to have a completed week of lesson plans, or two weeks of incomplete. Well, after surfing the net for Emmy news, I think it is time to type my homework sheet and call it a night.

Oh, a couple of you are probably wondering why I have not been chatting for a while. Since I have my new computer, I have not downloaded any messenger programs. Until I get a handle on my life (or at least my job), I don't want to do any online chatting. As you can see, if given the opportunity, I will procrastinate like there is no tomorrow. In the past, I've been chatting online for several hours at a time. Having difficulty just staying away from the Internet, chatting at this time would only add to my procrastinating. Hopefully, I will be able to start attending the gym in October, and getting my lesson plans done in a timely manner. Once those two goals are done (consistently for a few weeks), then I will download a messenger program and resume chatting around the world.

Oh, quick summary of today. Oh, that is another thing I will have to work on. I should not be spending hours blogging online for the same reasons mentioned above.

Today having went to bed about 6am, started off slow. I took a bath around 12 midday. I did lesson planning for a couple of hours, then left of Target about 4:30pm. While in the Bronx, I went food shopping until the local train arrived. When I returned home, I did my laundry. Continue lesson planning. For dinner, I ate my leftover pasta and turkey meat sauce.

Now, I need to type up my homework sheet, and then call it a night.

I finished my online course. I am glad. Not much to write about. Another lazy day. After finishing my course, I played Solitaire on my computer. I baked chicken legs with the plan of letting them cook while I did my online course. The stove was on a bit too high, so I the chicken was a little overcooked. Since the chicken was ready, I had a couple of pieces for lunch with plain wheat bread slices. I finally decided to walk up the hill to get the Sunday papers (Daily News and the NY Times). I ended up walking to The Shop-rite in downtown Yonkers. I should have brought my granny cart, but I was too lazy to go back in the building, even though I'd just left. I told myself that I would only be getting a couple of newspapers. I ended up getting a gallon of 2% milk, 2-half gallons of orange juice, some luncheon meat (turkey), mustard (and ketchup). I walked back home. Once home, I had my (slightly overcooked) chicken, green beans, and some pasta salad I bought from the store. I washed the dishes that have been in the sink for a few days. And read my newspapers. I am not sure why, but I started getting a headache sometime after I ate dinner. It should go away by tomorrow. After watching the evening news, I got online.

Yesterday while surfing the Internet, out of curiosity, I searched for locations of Panda Express. I've only been to the one in Jersey City Mall. Since I've moved to Yonkers, I have not felt like traveling Jersey Mall. Anyway, while searching for other locations, I discovered another Panda Express restaurant a little bit further North. After a bit of frustrating searching -- this time none of the so called "travel planners" were very helpful. Maybe the throbbing of my head affected my concentration. Anyway, I gave up on the travel planners and figured it out on my own. If I understood the location correctly, travel to this new mall won't be very difficult. Metro-North to Tarrytown station($3.25), then I transfer to the Tappan Zee Express bus($1.50). $9.50 round-trip. About 1 hour travel time one way by public transportation. 30 minutes by car. Zipcar here I come.

I also did a search to see what kinds of stores were available at Palisades Center (BJ's, JCPenny, IMAX, Lowes Theater, Barnes & Nobles, Target, HomeDepot, an ice rink, Staples, Circuit City, CompUSA, Sports Authority, and others, but my headache is getting to me.

Sunday Update. I have a few minutes before my bedtime, so I thought I would do another blog entry so that I would have no excuse tomorrow morning when I should be doing my online lesson.

Let's see. I think I left off from the last blog entry about 11am. After logging off, I decided to go get the Sunday paper. Today I've been thinking about going back to reading the New York Sunday Times, I used to read it before I moved to Japan. Next weekend, I think I'll go back to reading the NY Times. Today however, I went to buy the Daily News. Today was the first time I went outside in almost a week. I think the last time I went out was last Monday.

Anyway, it looked liked the sky was about to open up with a downpour when I went to get the Sunday paper. My plan was to just get the newspaper and a half of gallon of 2% milk. However, once I climbed the hill, I suddenly had a taste for some fried chicken from the local Chinese takeout place. Since I hadn't eaten breakfast, I was too weak to resist. I bought 5 (fried) chicken wings to go. I got the paper and returned home. I ate the chicken wings with a few slices of plain wheat bread and orange juice. I read my newspaper and watched a little bit of TV on my computer. Cool isn't it! After watching TV, I took a brief nap. I woke up about 4pm.

Once up, I decided to finally start really cleaning up, starting with the piles of papers on my couch. I narrowed the piles to...a few piles (school papers, documents, unopened mail, little papers [including receipts], and papers with personal information [for shredding]). Oh, while I was cleaning my living room, I found $58 dollars (1 twenty, 4 fives, 18 dollars).

At about 7pm, I decided to get on my rowing machine. I was on for about an hour. I then went to relax in the bathtub with the plan of only staying for about 30 minutes. However, I ended up staying in for about 90 minutes. I got out of the tub at 10:07pm. Since it was too late to cook, I made the lazy man's dinner (a cup of microwavable rice over sardines in mustard sauce and orange juice. Now, I am finishing this blog entry. I will watch the 11pm news on the TV and then call it a night. Hopefully, I will have a better sleep then last night. Tonight I am planning for an 11:30 bedtime.
