Thanks Max. Actually my laptop tray isn't for a laptop. I bought it for snacking infront of the TV on the couch and in my (soon to arrive) rocker/recliner. I also bought it for reading the newspaper. I like laying out the newspaper when I'm reading it. Up until now(for the last several years), I've been using a large cutting board as a lapdesk when I'm working or reading on the couch.
I haven't really used it yet, but I do really like it. I like the idea that I can raise the top up. I'll be able to read a newspaper without holding the newspaper.

I would definitely use it for my laptop-- and when I wasn't using it for my laptop then certainly for dinner!
