I've heard it said that there are only 2 man-made objects you can see from outerspace: the Bingham Copper Pit and the Great Wall of China.
I've lived for 4 decades within sight of the Bingham Copper Pit, but I've never been there.
I have, however, walked on the Great Wall of China.
weird, isn't it?
Not really weird to me. I'm learning that locals tend to not do the touristy things of there area.
I've been meaning to go there for years.
I've done pretty much all the other touristy things in the area....
When you do decide to go, it will be easier for you with it being right in your neck of the woods.
